What are the chakras and what do they do?
”Chakra" is the Sanskrit word for wheel or disc, and describes the seven main energy centres in the body. Each of these centres is a vortex of spinning energy, beginning at the base of the spine (Root Chakra) and finishing at the crown of the head (Crown Chakra).
Our chakra energies reflect different aspects of us: our connection to our bodies, our emotional and mental wellbeing, our heart connection, our self expression, our intuition, and our self awareness.
When these energies are balanced, we feel good! Connecting with each chakra, or our chakras as a whole, helps us become more aware of our energy, our vitality, and who we are at heart.
